Bay Helping Bay raises $5,298 for the EOD Warrior Foundation

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL (October 29, 2015) -- Sharky’s Beachfront Restaurant presented a check on October 28th for $5,298 raised during the inaugural Bay Helping Bay charity event held to honor the EOD WarriorFoundation. The EOD Warrior Foundation honors fallen EOD Technicians and provides assistance and support to wounded EOD warriors and their families throughout our nation.

Sharky’s donated 100% of the event proceeds to the foundation, which included a silent auction, dinner and a presentation from the foundation. The crowd gathered enjoyed a great event and a beautiful sunset while supporting a worthy community cause.  Sharky’s would like to thank all involved including the EOD organizers, local media sponsors Powell BroadcastingWMBBThe News Herald and PremiumOutdoor.

“Thank you to the Sharky’s team for their support of the EOD Warrior Foundation. Without the generosity of the community we could not do what we do to support EOD Warriors and their families.”  Kellie Perry, EOD Warrior Foundation. The Bennett family is excited about the launch of the first Bay Helping Bay event, appreciates all the sincere community support and looks forward to many more successful events in the future.

The second Bay Helping Bay event will be held November 17th at Sharky’s and will benefit the Panama City Rescue Mission. Bay Helping Bay is a new event series built around education and support in the community of local nonprofits and foundations.
