2016 EOD Caregiver Spouse Retreat

Dear EOD Caregivers,

The EOD Warrior Foundation is extending a special invitation to EOD Caregiver Spouses and significant others to attend an all-inclusive healing retreat the weekend of March 4 -6th 2016.  This opportunity is open to caregivers who are taking care of EOD Warriors on active duty, retired or otherwise separated from the military. This includes both visible and invisible wounds of war.

We understand that your journey from the time you received the news that your spouse had been injured until now has been life changing. We recognize that the effects of war impact the entire family and we have a strong belief that a retreat focused specifically on you is extremely important.

In an effort to expand our outreach and programming we are hosting a variety of retreats in 2016.  This retreat for our EOD Caregiver Spouses and significant others is the third of its kind and will be the first of 2016.We began hosting retreats in 2014 as a way to extend our outreach to EOD families.  Over the past two years we have provided healing and holistic retreats to EOD Caregiver Spouses, Caregiver Parents, Gold Star Spouses, Gold Star Parents, Warriors, and Families.  We understand that there are many components to the EOD family and we are working hard to reach as many as we can.  Our goal is to continue these retreats with small groups, giving a more intimate setting so each voice is heard.

We are very proud of the partnership we have with a non-profit organization called Courage Beyond, because we feel their organization best meets our needs, and their mission aligns well with what the EOD Warrior Foundation stands for: keeping families together and providing an opportunity for your healing, focusing on you!  Courage Beyond specializes in retreats focusing on the military family, and we are very excited to be working with them again in 2016 to create a memorable and purposeful experience for you.

Here is further explanation of the Courage Beyond retreat philosophy: Courage Beyond offers numerous therapeutic rehabilitative events and coping skills retreats throughout the year. These events and retreats foster healing and support for both family members and warriors. A typical event lasts from two to four days and involves counseling, assessment, coping skills training, rehabilitative efforts and group support.

Our timeline for the retreat is tight and does require that you fill out an application. The link is provided here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1r9oTwLsejxubrD45KOWbWC0VMRTaSEiu0mY4q-m6Jus/viewform?usp=send_form
